Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 August 2026These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Skill Align platform operated by JD Align Pty Ltd. By creating an account, purchasing an Online Practice subscription, Exam Pack, or School Pack, requesting teacher access, creating or accessing a student login, using Pack 0, or otherwise using Skill Align, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Who may use the platform
Parent or adult account holders must provide accurate account information and must be legally capable of entering into this agreement. Where student access is provided, the parent or guardian accepts these terms on behalf of the student and is responsible for how the platform is used.
2. Platform scope
Skill Align provides digital learning, Online Practice subscriptions, approved teacher-review access, public samples, one-off Exam Pack resources, practice, review, and support features. Product features, available subjects, year levels, training tracks, and workflows may change over time. Access to one product or training track does not automatically include access to any other product or training track.
Student logins may be created from paid subscriptions, approved teacher-review access, or other access expressly granted by Skill Align. Each access source has its own limits, conditions, and lifecycle.
Online Practice is an online learning service that may use parent-managed student logins and paid monthly subject access. A released Exam Pack is a separate, one-off purchase of a digital practice-exam resource delivered by email; it does not start a subscription, add an Online Practice subject, or create a student login. Pack 0 is a free online showcase where available and is not a purchased PDF pack.
3. Accounts and security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials, for activity that occurs under your account, and for ensuring that account use is authorised. Parents are responsible for managing student logins created under their account. Teacher-review access must only be used for the approved curriculum-review purpose and must not be shared outside the approved user. You must notify Skill Align promptly if you believe account security has been compromised.
4. Purchases, subscriptions, and billing
Paid products may be offered as recurring Online Practice subscriptions or as one-off Exam Pack purchases. Pricing, bundle savings, billing cycles, purchased access scope, delivery, and renewal settings are described in the relevant checkout, subscription, billing, or product pages. Prices are displayed in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise and include GST where applicable.
By purchasing a subscription, you authorise the applicable charges and any recurring billing that forms part of the selected plan. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing date.
A released Exam Pack is purchased once and does not renew. After payment is confirmed, the selected files are sent as email attachments to the billing email entered at checkout. The purchaser is responsible for entering an accessible email address and reviewing the selected state, course, edition, and pack before payment. A parent account is not required to buy or receive an Exam Pack.
An Exam Pack is licensed to the purchaser for educational use. A purchaser may use it personally or provide it to one student for whom it was purchased. A purchasing teacher or tutor may save, print, or distribute copies to students they personally teach, but the licence is not transferable to another teacher, tutor, school, or organisation. Buying the pack does not transfer copyright ownership. Except as permitted by law or with Skill Align's prior written permission, an Exam Pack must not be resold, publicly shared, republished, placed in a shared resource library or question bank, uploaded to a publicly accessible service, systematically or automatically extracted, or used to train a system.
School Pack licence (school-v1)
A School Pack is a distinct one-off, school-licensed product containing original exam pairs. It is not a bundle or regrouping of individual Exam Packs. The School Pack licence version displayed at checkout applies to that purchase.
This licence is granted to the school named at checkout and any campus named there. The purchaser must be authorised to accept these terms for the named school. The named school and campus may save, print, and internally distribute the supplied PDFs to their staff and students for educational use within that school. This licence is not transferable to another school or campus.
Except as permitted by law or with JD Align Pty Ltd's prior written permission, School Pack files must not be transferred, resold, publicly shared or republished, placed in a shared resource library or question bank, uploaded to a publicly accessible service, systematically or automatically extracted, or used to train an AI or other system. Purchasing a School Pack grants this limited licence and does not transfer copyright ownership. Copyright remains with JD Align Pty Ltd.
At checkout, Skill Align records the purchaser's full name and delivery email, the required school name, any optional campus and school address, the authority confirmation, the accepted licence version, and the acceptance time with the order. Nothing in this School Pack licence excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified, including applicable Australian consumer guarantees.
Approved teacher-review access and any other expressly granted non-paid access are separate from paid subscriptions and do not create a paid subscription entitlement.
5. Cancellations, refunds, and changes
Subscriptions may be cancelled using the options available within the platform. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Subscription payments are generally non-refundable. Refund handling, where applicable, is subject to the published Refund Policy, checkout terms, and any non-excludable rights under applicable law.
Exam Pack purchases are one-off digital purchases and cannot be cancelled as a recurring service. Change-of-mind refunds are not generally provided after the correct files have been supplied, but missing delivery, an incorrect or unreadable file, duplicate charging, or a material problem with the supplied product will be handled under the Refund Policy and any non-excludable rights under applicable law.
Skill Align may change prices, product scope, or available plans prospectively by updating relevant pages or notifying affected users where required.
When subscription access ends, subscription-created student logins may be revoked. Teacher-access and other expressly granted student logins remain governed by their approved grants and limits.
6. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the platform, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security or availability, scrape or systematically extract content, share credentials beyond your household, reproduce platform content beyond permitted use, or use the service for unlawful, abusive, infringing, or deceptive conduct.
Temporary teacher-review, sample, or other expressly granted access must not be used to avoid applicable subscription requirements, redistribute content, or create accounts for unauthorised users.
7. Content and intellectual property
Skill Align and its licensors retain ownership of the platform, branding, software, training flows, practice questions, answers, explanations, diagrams, graphs, visuals, text, graphics, practice sessions, and related materials except where applicable law requires otherwise. Platform content is protected content and is made available for normal personal educational use only. Unless expressly allowed, you may not copy, reproduce, resell, distribute, publish, scrape, systematically extract, train systems on, or commercially exploit platform materials.
8. Educational outcomes and disclaimers
Skill Align provides educational support tools only and is not a substitute for school teaching, tutoring, or formal assessment.
We do not guarantee marks, school performance, test outcomes, exam results, admissions, or any other specific educational result.
Platform content, scoring, feedback, or recommendations may include automated support components and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Users should review content and confirm important information with teachers or other trusted sources.
Exam Packs and Pack 0 resources are independently prepared practice materials. They are not official examination papers or past papers and are not authorised or endorsed by an education authority or examination body.
9. Suspension and termination
Skill Align may suspend, limit, or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, misuse prevention, non-payment, legal compliance, service protection, or material breach of these terms. You may stop using the platform at any time, subject to any active billing or contractual obligations already incurred.
Parents may delete a student login from the parent dashboard. Deleting a student login may also delete the associated practice sessions, attempts, answers, and feedback from active product records.
10. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JD Align Pty Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-opportunity damages arising from use of the platform, including reliance on content or service availability.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable Australian consumer guarantees.
11. Privacy
Use of the platform is also subject to the Skill Align Privacy Policy. By using Skill Align, you acknowledge that your information may be collected, stored, and used as described in that policy.
12. Changes to these terms
Skill Align may update these terms from time to time to reflect legal, commercial, technical, or product changes. The latest published version will apply from the date it is posted unless another effective date is stated.
