Coverage and study format

Coverage: Modelling and investigation; bivariate data and time series; sequences; investment, loans and annuities; plus trigonometry/Earth geometry OR graphs, networks and decisions. Follow the elective selected by the student's school.

Format: Each full resource has ninety independently answerable questions, six additional worked examples, two separate six-question checks and six mixed-revision questions. These are untimed learning resources with solutions, distinct review criteria, alternatives and next steps, rather than an examination simulation or ratings conversion.

Eight original independent questions and six additional examples preview all six substantive topic chapters. This is breadth across selected skills, not complete coverage of every requirement; both elective previews are included so students can follow their school's option.

Materials and format: Follow each task's stated learning mode and current TASC calculator rules. General Mathematics uses approved calculators and its supplied information sheet throughout the examination. The current sheet is version 2, February 2026, with Earth radius 6,371 km where supplied. Confirm applicable 2027 examination materials with your school.

  3. Use the separate solutions and marking guidance to check your reasoning and record a next step on your review sheet.
  4. If you want a starting check, try Check 1 on topics you have already studied before viewing its solutions. Record untaught material as “Not yet studied”.
  5. Return to mixed revision and Check 2 as you cover more topics and complete directed practice. Compare your independent work on the selected topics.
