Student Accounts
After a new Online Practice payment, subscription student access is prepared separately from parent-account linking. The student chooses the first password securely and then uses the dedicated Student Login.
How initial subscription student access works
- A separate subscription student login is prepared automatically for each purchased year level after confirmed payment.
- Subjects purchased in the same year share one login. Subscription student logins include only the purchased subjects, senior Mathematics pathways, and English courses for that year.
- The payment confirmation email lists the login ID and included subjects for each purchased year.
- When first-time setup is required, select Set password and start learning in the email. The secure single-use page lets the student choose a password or passphrase.
- No reusable student password is sent by email.
- The parent-account setup link and student-password setup link perform different tasks. They can be completed in either order.
- After setup, the student uses Student Login with the email's login ID and the password they chose.
Manage student access from the parent dashboard
- First use the secure account-setup action to add the paid subscription to the intended parent account. Signing in alone does not link a guest purchase.
- The prepared subscription student login appears after the subscription is linked.
- If a subscribed year shows Needs setup instead of Ready, select Set up, enter the student's name, and create that year-level login.
- Teacher student logins are created from approved teacher-review access.
- The Access type column shows whether a current row is Subscription or Teacher.
- Parents can update the student name shown on a student login from the parent-side tools.
- Reset password creates a new temporary password and immediately replaces the previous password. It is a parent recovery action, not the same as the email's first-password link.
- Parents can open or copy the student login page link for the child.
- Parents can review tests for a student login from the dashboard.
- Deleting a student login permanently removes that login and its practice sessions, attempts, answers, and feedback.
Student login
- Students sign in from Student Login.
- Student credentials are different from the parent sign-in.
- After sign-in, use the account menu's My profile page to update your name, change your password, or save your own recovery email using your current password.
- If you have saved a recovery email, use Forgot password with your Login ID to request a reset code. Otherwise, ask your parent or Support for a reset.
- If the first-password link says it has already been used, try Student Login with the chosen password. If the password is unknown, use the parent dashboard's Reset password action.
- If the first-password link expires before setup and the subscription is linked, the parent can use Reset password to activate access with a new temporary password. Otherwise, contact Support for a new secure setup link.
- If a student cannot sign in, confirm the login ID exactly and then try a parent password reset.
- Subscription-created student logins are revoked when the paid subscription access expires and are not converted into another access type.
- Teacher student logins follow the teacher-review access grant.
