Getting Started
Use these steps when you are new to Skill Align and need to understand the parent account and student-login setup.
1. Create a parent account
- Start from Sign up to create the parent account first.
- The parent account is the main account used for subscriptions, student management, billing, and support.
- Creating the account does not purchase subjects by itself.
2. Choose an access path
- Open Pricing to review paid subscription year levels and subjects.
- Subscriptions are designed around year level and subject access rather than one broad bundle.
- Families can also use the separate free-practice offer shown on the parent dashboard after sign-up.
- Classroom teachers can request temporary teacher-review access from the parent dashboard. Approved teacher access is separate from Stripe billing.
3. Add a student login
- After signing in as a parent, use the parent dashboard to create a student login.
- Subscribed year levels create subscription student logins.
- Approved teacher access creates teacher student logins for the granted year and subject access.
- Free practice creates separate free student logins with limited year, subject, and session access.
- Each student login has its own access type. Free, teacher, and subscription logins can coexist, even when they cover the same child, year, or subject.
- The student login is separate from the parent sign-in.
- Students use Student Login to access practice sessions. Parents can open or copy the student login page link from the dashboard.
